A Swift file that parses cleanly can still fail at link time, at runtime, or at the network boundary with its backend. This repo had 47 Swift files with zero parse failures, a clean pbxproj, and a thoroughly broken core loop. Cheap local gates create false confidence; only a real xcodebuild and a real device round-trip prove the system. The most expensive verification step is the one you keep deferring.
