When a unit bans GenAI from producing prose, the naive 'AI writes, you edit' loop breaks. The fix is to restructure the loop: the AI does design → spec → verify, the human does build → iterate. The AI produces verified sources, page-locked citations, rubrics-mapped argument graphs, figure specs, and topic sentences; the human writes the sentences; the AI then verifies them against the source. This keeps the engineering discipline intact without breaching the constraint, and ironically produces work that reads as authentically the student's — which is exactly what the AI-detection rubric is checking.
