Reality is the opposite: you've got archive folders nested inside archive folders going back to the 1990s, plus imports from Evernote, TheBrain, and Roam Research. Fighting this mess wastes more time than tolerating it. Worse, Tiago Forte's 'move files into project folders, then move them again when done' workflow breaks links and creates friction. Better principle: place a file once, leave it there, and use links, tags, and Maps of Content to surface it contextually.
