LLMs do judgment, not collection — separate detection from reasoning

The LLM's job is judgment: what's important, who is who, what's novel. The collector's job is detection: did something new happen. When you conflate them, you get fragile systems that only work when the model is in the right mode. Separate the layers and each component does what it's actually good at.
